FIERO is one of those groups that is just as rooted in DJing as they are musical production. Yes these guys ACTUALLY play instruments and rumor has it that their debut performance is going to be with live instruments.

To give you all a feel for what FIERO is all about they decided to release an eclectic mixtape for the clothing brand OLDE IVORY. And keeping in line with what OLDE IVORY is all about the mixtape has some solid funk, electro, and party jams to keep you moving through all 55 minutes. On top of that they snuck in an original just to blow your mind some more.

Here’s a little info on how the collective FIERO got started from the one and only NICKY SAVAGE:

I was invited to go play on “Riders of a Plastic Groove,” a KUCI radio show. Before I headed to the station I tuned in to listen what was being played before. It was a show called “Disco 4 yr Health”. I found that the DJ was playing a lot of the songs that I had planned on playing. When I arrived at the station Jermey was still playing. I gave him props on his selection and proceeded to ask him if I could play on his show. After keeping in contact for a bit we realized that we both wanted to make music, and had very similar taste in music. I ran into him later at a fakeRICH party and we chatted about getting on that production tip. He mentioned that he played bass and introduced me to his roomate Sam who played guitar. The next week we started on our first song PCH and the rest as they say WILL BE HISTORY. Fiero’s music influence includes disco, new wave, hardcore, and classic rock. Yes, the song SUCKS ASS… but the video… well I never thought I’d say this, but the video effing RULES!!!
SERIOUSLY !!!…..It’s like they took all the technology the SHARPER IMAGE (lame store) sold at its peak in the 80’s and put it all in one video.
And you have to love them for trying.
