It may seem like was are ALWAYS putting up mixtapes from our dude HEAVY ACCENTS and the reason why is very simple.. THEY ARE ALL REALLY GOOD!! We get at least 30 new emails a day relating to new music and 99% of the time it all sucks. I hope I don’t alienate half our readers here by saying this, but we are sick and tired of “buzz saw” electro. If it has to be played at full volume and there is a slight chance it might be played on Kiss FM or Power 106 for their noon rave sessions, we probably won’t be into it. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I can honestly say, HEAVY ACCENTS has always sent us the best stuff and his latest mixtape MOUSTACHE. Is no different.

I know this post is a day late and a dollar short but my keyboard on my computer didn’t work all day yesterday so give me a break okay!!
MANY of you who frequent this site know about our “feel good friday’s” and our relationship with our favorite videographer PAUL NGUYEN. But many of you don’t know that he has been a huge reason why we keep doing what we do. Paul has grown from a bright eyed bushy tailed kid with a fast car from Irvine to a well respected videographer / blogger and now designer in just 2 short years. Whenever we see one of our friends progress this much, we can’t help but be excited for him!

I can remember going out on nights when it was just us two and those were some of the most fun nights I have had in this very long “party” career of mine. In fact, there was a summer where we went out so much that we were permanently on “recess.” We literally did nothing but kid stuff all day and then rage hard at night.

At one point people actually thought Paul was the man behind fakeRICH, and I had no problems in letting people believe that….

Now a days Paul has been focusing hard on his film career and pushing his AnalogHoliday brand and I can’t see anything stopping him.
I tried posting as many photos as I could that would sum up the “personality” of Paul but none of my photos even come close to explaining who “PRETTYBOYPAUL” is, so I will let one of his films do the talking for him.

Since I can’t really afford to buy you any gifts this year, I am giving you all my neu gems. I know you would appreciate them more than anyone but try not to play them all at once. I don’t want you to go into a disco overload.

Usually we leave the FEEL GOOD FRIDAY posts to just PrettyboyPaul because he’s much more hip than we are… but this was really just TOO good not to put up

Not many artists from Amsterdam make their way to the states, and when they do, they usually make all the kids loose their shit..Rubix is one of those artists we CAN NOT WAIT too see live!!

ALL of his songs are pretty epic.. but this is just ONE of the pure fire that he is spitting out of the Netherlands…

Never heard of them? Dont worry most people havent but the song “I need you tonight” always seems familiar.
Ever get a track stuck in your head that you KNOW you have heard before but come to realize you have no idea who sings it? Yeah I know it happens to ALL of us right? Here’s an example of one of those songs that got stuck in my head because I knew I had it in my iTunes but I had the wrong label. After 4 hours of searching and 20 shazam attempts later, Arlo and I FINALLY found out more information behind this track and now we bring you.

PUNKIN MACHINE’S – I NEED YOU TONIGHT!

I new I had the song in there but I never knew any information about it and I was completely cool with that because the song was so obscure it made sense to leave it “anonymous”. It made sense until the other day when my friend (Annia) sang the song at PrettyBoyPauls house and wanted to know where she heard it from? Of course, since I hate being stumped musically I spent all day today researching on who sang it and who had the original. Needless to say Im glad I found it. I also found out that there are some boring remixes of it that all sound just like the original just with an extra snare here and there or a shortened chorus. I also found out that SUZY Q does a version of it but hers isn’t very good quality.

Yes, I have had numerous debates with Joe and Mark about how every song that came out of the 80’s wasn’t good one… yes there were some good ones..but not all of them were good… and I think this song proves my point..

Yes, the song SUCKS ASS… but the video… well I never thought I’d say this, but the video effing RULES!!!
SERIOUSLY !!!…..It’s like they took all the technology the SHARPER IMAGE (lame store) sold at its peak in the 80’s and put it all in one video.
And you have to love them for trying.
