What can we say about Them Jeans that hasn’t already been said? Apart from being one of my favorite DJs in LA he is a a huge “foodie” and producer.

And just as Jason is a huge critic of what ingredients go into the food he decides to place on his pallete he is an even tougher critic of the ingredients of what’s in the music that goes in his ears. Trust me when I say this, his musical pallette is one of the biggest around. Jason Them Jeans is the only DJ I’ve seen spin cumbia, rock, hip hop, and grunge all in one “electro” set and put it all together to create an exquisite recipe for destruction.

Recently Jason (Them Jeans) just released a new track entitled TIPS and it has instantly become a house banger.
The combination of the driving house beat with the delicious sounds building in the background makes for a very exciting track with tons of BIG ROOM atmosphere and sound. Do yourself a favor and download this immediately and when you play it… turn it up as loud as you can.

Yoshioooooooo is by far my favorite Japanese person of all time. He is just one of those people who makes you happy to be around no matter what kind of mood you are in. Last Tuesday at Cinespace was the premiere of the 2nd Episode of everyones favorite Web series GOOD JOB YOSHIO!!!

and I didnt think i would say this but this episode is just as good, if not better than the first!!

I was forwarded an email from DJ Them Jeans last night about a band that he thought we might want to feature on the site. A band that combines an amazing vibe with disco beats and a super fox singer a band by the name of POLLYN.

Pollyn is Genevieve Artadi, Anthony Cava, and Adam Jay Weissman, a music machine from Los Angeles who began collaborating in 1999.

Mix the voice of Sade, the sounds and beats of Peter Bjorn and John, plus throw in some M.F. Doom in the mix and you have the very unique yet comfortably familiar sounds of POLLYN. Pollyn is one of those bands that will surely make a huge splash on the scene so make sure you come out to see them as soon as you can!

“Gave It Up” is the first single off Pollyn’s debut album, This Little Night. For the release, they enlisted master of Balearic Disco Peter Visti, who remixed this new wave party starter into a full blown cosmic odyssey. TUZDAY BUZDAY / SUPER MASH BROS / SNEAKY SOUND SYSTEM (photos)

Last Tuesday we were invited out by our new friends over at MSO to join them for a one of a kind night over at the ROXY off Sunset. Let me just start off by saying I haven’t been up to LA in full -party mode in quite a long time. In fact, the last time I think I went up there to actually party was well over a year ago. Now-a-days, when I go up to LA its usually because of meetings or because I “need” to take pictures of the coolest party in town. Which basically means I wont be having that much fun. Last Tuesday was one of those extremely rare times when I went up to LA and had more fun that anyone should have in one night.
OK back to the nights details.
Joseph Wilson and I got a little late start on our night and ended up getting to the ROXY around 11:10pm. I was initially worried that we would miss the majority of the night, but luck was on our side and the Roxy pushed the set times back. We got there just as SUPER MASH BROS got on stage. Up until that moment I had NO CLUE who they were and I also had no clue how many kids were fans of them. It was a very weird feeling being the ONLY two dudes inside the Roxy (Besides the bouncers) with facial hair (over the age of 17). But I must say our host’s made being a good 10 years older than anyone in the building very enjoyable by way of plenty of drink tickets and tons of hospitality. (Im going to be arrested for posting these photos)
After THE SUPER MASH BROS literally made the Roxy a Giant sauna. J*DAvey Went on the decks and provided a little more grown up soundtrack for the evening. While they were on the tables, Elevator Fight was getting warmed up on the main stage to and we took that opportunity to thank Alexandar and Angela for an unforgettable evening. After we snapped some photos of J*Davey we headed over to Cinespace to catch some of SNEAKY SOUND SYSTEMS set before it got too late. Needless to say we were already in full party mode by the time we got to Cinespace and as soon as we walked in.. DAN OH challenged us to a shot drinking contest. Since Joseph and I won’t ever back down from any drinking challenge we had to kick it in to defcon 5 and show Dan Oh whats up. The rest of the night was a blur but I can honestly say it was one of most enjoyable nights I’ve had in LA in a very long time.

Lately, we haven’t been cruising Cinespace much for photos of local LA blog and Twitter celebs but this last Tuesday we knew we HAD to go. It was finally time for our very own Colossal Knxn to rock the decks in front of the local Dim Makians. It was a night that was sure to be a unique mix in terms of crowd. Not only were the Cinespace resident DJs there but in the back room the CAZALs and ROOTBEER had live performances lined up. Ill be completely honest with you most of that night was a blur to me because I was caught up talking to some friends on the couch for most of the night but these are some key points that I can remember:
1. Colossal Knxn KILLED it!!!
2. I got offered some really weird drug in a bottle made from Animal Testosterone or something
3. When our friends met us there, they were already drunk
4. “Tundra Muff”
5. I got kissed ;0
6. Some girl tried to fight me for taking a photo of her BOYFRIEND
Bits and pieces of that night are slowly coming back to me but that’s all I got for now.

As much as I HATE to admit this… this was one of those parties where I actually don’t remember much because I was drunk. If you know anything about me you know for one its hard for me to even get to that point and that it RARELY happens… Well this was one of those times where it happened and I completely forgot I even took photos of the night.
Im glad that I was reminded to put these damn photos up before it got too late… And since I can’t accurately describe the party for you … Ill let the photos do the “talking”.
