It may seem like was are ALWAYS putting up mixtapes from our dude HEAVY ACCENTS and the reason why is very simple.. THEY ARE ALL REALLY GOOD!! We get at least 30 new emails a day relating to new music and 99% of the time it all sucks. I hope I don’t alienate half our readers here by saying this, but we are sick and tired of “buzz saw” electro. If it has to be played at full volume and there is a slight chance it might be played on Kiss FM or Power 106 for their noon rave sessions, we probably won’t be into it. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I can honestly say, HEAVY ACCENTS has always sent us the best stuff and his latest mixtape MOUSTACHE. Is no different.

WTC house radio is by far one of those websites that sits well under mainstream but is always on my top bookmark list. They always have an amazing line up of live music and the best part is you can listen to their streams 24hrs a day!

Our good friend and SELL OUT SATURDAY resident DJ G-MO just recently headlined a show for them last week and his set was nothing less than amazing. I’ve said this a million times before and I’m going to say it again … DJ G-MO is by far one of the most under rated DJ’s in LA / OC !!!

G-MO would rather be chilling in his garage making beats and working on mixes than sitting behind the computer adding followers or trying to impress ladies by name dropping. On top of all that, he’s probably one of the nicest dudes you will ever run into. Anyways, enough G-MO guch licking, it’s time to let the music speak for itself. G-MO recorded this mix LIVE on the air when he spun WTChouse radio last week; he used real turntables and a real mixer, NO EDITING and NO ABLETON and NO second chances….. If you are looking for a feel good summer mixtape this is most definitely it!

It seems that at least once a month we bring you the latest mixtape by the one and only Heavy Accents and to be completely honest with you, they can’t come soon enough. Every single one of Heavy Accents’ mixtapes are solid gold and not many DJs can pull that off…especially when they are done LIVE on tables.
Since Andrew loves spinning music just as much as he loves listening to it, he decided to pump out an extra mixtape just for the fun of it, and this one was inspired by that Jersey Shore dude that everyone loves to hate… THE SITUATION!
I know what you’re thinking, but I gotta tell you that you AREN’T going to hear the “Best of Ibiza 2008″ soundtrack on this mixtape and you aren’t going to hear some shitty Bon Jovi Karaoke anthems, you are going to hear pure nu/disco fire! (NICKY SAVAGE) FIERO: OLDE IVORY MIXTAPE

Many of you have heard of the ever so energetic Nicky Savage but not so many of you have heard of his new collective entitled FIERO .. much like Anoraak has VALERIE .. Nicky Savage has teamed up with some extremely talented musicians to form FIERO!!

FIERO is one of those groups that is just as rooted in DJing as they are musical production. Yes these guys ACTUALLY play instruments and rumor has it that their debut performance is going to be with live instruments.

To give you all a feel for what FIERO is all about they decided to release an eclectic mixtape for the clothing brand OLDE IVORY. And keeping in line with what OLDE IVORY is all about the mixtape has some solid funk, electro, and party jams to keep you moving through all 55 minutes. On top of that they snuck in an original just to blow your mind some more.

FIERO – OLDE IVORY MIXTAPE

Here’s a little info on how the collective FIERO got started from the one and only NICKY SAVAGE:

I was invited to go play on “Riders of a Plastic Groove,” a KUCI radio show. Before I headed to the station I tuned in to listen what was being played before. It was a show called “Disco 4 yr Health”. I found that the DJ was playing a lot of the songs that I had planned on playing. When I arrived at the station Jermey was still playing. I gave him props on his selection and proceeded to ask him if I could play on his show. After keeping in contact for a bit we realized that we both wanted to make music, and had very similar taste in music. I ran into him later at a fakeRICH party and we chatted about getting on that production tip. He mentioned that he played bass and introduced me to his roomate Sam who played guitar. The next week we started on our first song PCH and the rest as they say WILL BE HISTORY. Fiero’s music influence includes disco, new wave, hardcore, and classic rock. It seems that more and more people are jumping on the “Disco” bandwagon lately but Andrew aka Heavy Accents isn’t one of those people. Heavy Accents have been pumping out disco themed mixtapes since before Disco was cool again and now its time to blow your mind for the second time~!

The last Disco Desire mixtape was pretty epic and this one is even better.. it starts off slow and ramps up to something that you wish would never stop. Heavy Accents, what can I say other than Andrew is one of the most Underrated Dj’s I have seen / heard in a long time.

Andrew has been releasing mixtapes and doing performances accross L.A. and O.C. under the Heavy Accents moneker for over a year now and he keeps getting better and better.
I had the HUGE pleasure of seeing him absolutely wreck the crowd at TABU in Vegas during a party he did with Crossover for MAGIC. Not saying that all the DJ’s in vegas aren’t worth anything, but his transitions and track selections were way above the rest.

DJ Nate Day has been featured on this site many times before, and it has been a while since we brought you anything from this Philadelphia native

Just last week, I met up with nate during our last minute Dubstep party at Detroit Bar in costa mesa and he told me he just finished a new mixtape. We have always been a fan of his since we heard the first “Console” mixtape back in 07. Nate has always been on top of his game with his track selection and clean mixing and his latest mix isn’t any different.

COLOSSAL KNXN: BONER JAMS 09

Anything that Colossal Knxn does Im obviously going to be bias towards and I’m probably going to tell you that its the most amazing thing to hit the “scene” since the two step. But their newest mixtape is actually very good!

It doesn’t have any fancy mixing, scratching, or beat juggling but it does have the perfect blend of funk, house, electro, soul, good music. I hate classifying everythign into genres so Ill just say that The BONER JAMS mixtape is the perfect mixtape to play next time you have that special “hipster” lady over. You wont find any buzz saw electro, speaker blowing dubstep, or insane screamo on this mixtape but that’s not what ladies like now is it?
