As much as people have already blogged 10000000 times already about this show. I figured I might as well add to the frenzy and create a blog post about it as well, since I have to work there for the next 8 days.
Working at the LA AUTO SHOW does have its perks…… One major one is that I am allowed to go anywhere on media/ press day which gives me some great opportunities for some amazing photos.

The first day I got into the show I walked STRAIGHT into Porsche’s hall to see what they were going to bring to the table this year….
Low and behold… they bring out the TURBO CHARGED rear wheel drive’d BEAST the GT2


YES THE PRICE SAYS 181,000 dollars!!!
We also got to check out some seriously cool Porsche’s as well.
They brought in a DAKKAR RALLY Cayanne Turbo which was pretty cool

They also brought out a car that ran a full season in prototype LeMans


Now Im not usually a fan of ANY Boxter…but this Limited Edition Convertible was pretty amazing looking.

After we drooled over the gorgeous cars in Porsche’s booth”e” we walked over to the SCION booth in one of the main halls and our minds were officially blown. Not only did they have one of the best displays of any car show…but they incorporated music and video to the whole booth…. the screens in front of the cars would move up and down to a soundtrack provided by SPANK ROCK and KAVINSKY….when did Scion get so cool?

After Scion We saw some really dope cars from Volvo …
Like this C30 for example…. the windows in the cars had movie screens built IN THEM and could play any movie on them…


After Volvo we walked over to see what LEXUS had to offer…
Other than a bunch of stock vehicles which EVERYONE has seen wayyyyy too many of (esp. in IRVINE, AND WESTMINSTER)
They had a really great looking ISF concept done up by FIVE AXIS MODELS…

Then after that… we toook some photos of any car that we thought was dope…

LAMBORGHINI also released their new 1.2 million dollar version of “The BAT MOBILE”

AND OF COURSE….WE HAD TO TAKE A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF PHOTOS OF THE NEW GTR BECAUSE WE WERE THERE FOR THE RELEASE
!!!!

After we removed the stains from our pants… we walked the rest of the show and right into SUBARU’S booth….
I am not sure if you have seen the new IMPREZA or WRX…but they seriously look like shit (the main reason why I didn’t take any pics of any of those cars) but the new STi ….LOOKS AMAZING!!!

Im not sure what the GENIUS’ behind the marketing campaign made for this car are…but seriously they couldn’t come up with anything better than “join the fraternity of STi??” OH MAN…TALK ABOUT MISSING THE MARK with that one.

Also another car maker I thought I would never give any props to is…. HYUNDAI. They released the 300hp REAR WHEEL DRIVE sleeper beast called ” the genesis”
and it looked GREAT!!!(for a hyundai)

Then we arrived in AUDI and the main car they had on display was a gorgeous swp R8

MITSUBISHI had the new EVOX on display …personally I like the looks of the new STi better (more refined) but I wonder if the entire 22-30 year old PHILLIPINO population in California will buy this evo as well….

Im not usually a fan of the Corvette…because it reminds too much of Dude’s with Mullets blaring the theme song to 90210 or some shitty Lynard Skynard album…but Jay Leno had his on display…it was the ONLY corvette to ever impress me.




THE NEW 135I

SUZUKI brought out their Pike’s peak hill climb champion and their JWRC rally car…. very impressive for Suzuki


I am sure there were other cars at the show that were super nice…But I haven’t had the time to get pics of all of them…maybe I can sneak off later this week or while Im working ON THANKSGIVING DAY to take some more pics.
