LAST friday it was our 3rd installment of the “POSSE ON BROADWAY” block party… And it didnt disappoint this time the PROOF boys brought out the up and coming group...WALLPAPER and they ROCKED the joint…

WALLPAPER - EVERYTIME WE DO IT

All the other places were on point as well…with performances from YOOKS / GMO / NSQUARED / SCOTTY COATS and more.
We tried to do our best to be in 3 places at once so check the photos and get mad at our “RUDE” comments.

Also many thanks to Joseph/ Ralph/ Bryan / Egor Swiss / Chris / Phil / Gmo/ and everyone else who help make these block parties happen.

the FACTORY… finally

Last Monday (Yeah I haven’t updated in THAT long) we got invited out to the first edition of FACTORY at the GLASS HOUSE by our good friend BRYAN (B! production/ Dim Mak) to come check out the mayhem of an ALL AGES night.

It was a GREAT party and we are super stoked to be one of the 10000000 photographers that were there that night.

Since I can’t upload any music (new computer and our host hasn’t given me admin access on this yet)
Ill just repost songs and tell you how awesome they are.

CROSBY’S WAY!

Last saturday was officially our first event at the newest “hot spot” in SANTA ANA… THE CROSBY.
It was great to see all the old faces and all the friends rolling out to the same spot for once… sort of like everyone left their egos at home and just came out to have fun. I really dont have much else to say about that night other than.. It was fun..the food kicked ass (as usual) and look for another one coming soon.

Mr. Pat Dunphy over at Ikea was surfing the web and he came upon an article in this month’s Adbusters Magazine detailing the “Hipster” and why they suck (I know I am eloquent, there is no need to drool).

(Before I go on and possibly stick my foot in my mouth let me say one thing: I know from the untrained eye I fit the bill of a hipster. I wear slim jeans, have facial hair that I never seem to take care of, and I have v-neck shirts. Shit, I even drink Pabst Blue Ribbon [When it’s free]. However, this article and the definition of a “hipster” goes much further than the clothes I or you wear. So if you think I should be called a hipster go ahead and call me one, call me a hypocrite too, and call me Joseph, because I prefer that over Joe.)

The author starts off with a typical conversation with a hipster chick and goes to show that one of the main ideas behind being a hipster is never admitting that you are, in fact, a hipster:

“So… this is a hipster party?” I ask the girl sitting next to me. She’s wearing big dangling earrings, an American Apparel V-neck tee, non-prescription eyeglasses and an inappropriately warm wool coat.

“Yeah, just look around you, 99 percent of the people here are total hipsters!”

“Are you a hipster?”

“Fuck no,” she says, laughing back the last of her glass before she hops off to the dance floor.

Its almost a sin to admit that you are hipster. It is a culture so obssessed with individualty and being away from the mainstream that they refuse to admit to what they are.

Thats right…. The infamous LA based DJ THEM JEANS is up to mischief again…

and this time he flexes his skills with a little SIGUR ROS flavor…. Some of you may think that anyone considering remixing some of the purest/ beautiful music as of late may be a HUGE sin… but THEM JEANS actually pulled this one off pretty well.
Check it out for yourself you won’t be able to do anything but like this song… the tempo is perfect and he still kept a lot of what makes SIGUR ROS …..SIGUR ROS in the song..
