EVERYDAY IM HUSTLIN’
By Mykal • May 4th, 2008 • Category: BIKESLast night we rolled out to the WOLFPACKS 3rd drag race in LA. I am not sure if you have been reading this blog since last year… but we covered the same race this time last year… and our close friend/ crosby chef Josh Han won… This year Josh couldn’t make it…since they have him working a 14 day in a ROW shift at the Crosby … so the title could not be defended.
The race started off in the 2nd street tunnel and was a slow comer… but then before we knew it …the tunnel was so crowded with people and cyclists that the traffic of that night was almost completely blocked.
The racers were only able to get in a handful of qualifying runs before the cops shut the race down ..because of the traffic obstruction it caused… So we had to move the race to a “secret location” by everyones favorite store HOME DEPOT.
We stayed and covered the entire quailfying rounds (until 330am) but then left because our own J.T. (Trackpanthers) was on the very cusp of qualifying and didn’t make the cut…so we had to head out…But we got in a good shots as well as some pretty bad ones.
