Im sure many of you dont remember my post about this over a year and a half ago… but as of late, it seems like DFA 1979 keeps coming up more and more frequently in my conversations so I figured why fight it… today is officially DFA 1979 DAY!!!

Although it has been over 3 years since the band officially split up (8.4.2006) their music is still on HEAVY ROTATION in my iTunes library daily. ….

One of my favorite performances of theirs HAS to be the time when they performed Romantic Rights on Late Night W/ Conan O’Brien. Not only did Jesse and Sebastien absolutely tear the roof off the place BUT the one and only MAX WEINBERG hopped on the drums to help them finish out the song… only one word can be used to describe it… EPIC!!!

As most of you know, after the split of DFA 1979 Jesse went down the more electronic road and formed MSTRKRFT with fellow Canadian Al-P… Sebastien on the other hand, ventured off into a solo career that wasn’t as fruitfull. It has been rumored that both Jesse and Sebastien have turned down offers of $50k plus to reunite for just one show Neither of them still can’t come to an agreement of if they will ever reunite again.
I am going to keep my hopes up because their music means more to me than a bottle of lube at a handicapped gangbang. (think about it) It’s something I can’t live without.
