Last Sunday I had the pleasure of spending my entire evening in LA and my first of three stops was the Hello Kitty exhibit in Culver City. I just want to let everyone know that I am NOT a fan of Hello Kitty and to be honest I really dont understand the point of it but for some reason every girl I know is obsessed with that retarded cat with a giant head

Since we were all planning on going to visit this exhibit anyways, GMO, JENNY, KAYLA, ANIA, PRETTYBOYPAUL and I all headed up to Culver City to see what all the buzz was about.

As soon as we got to the Royal/T cafe / gallery in Culver city I officially knew what obsession looked like. I knew there was a lot of Hello Kitty memorabilia out there but I had no idea that it was on this scale. I took my camera out and started shooting photos of everything I could but I know that I probably missed a good 80% of what was there. On top of that, all the Hello Kitty goodies were behind what seemed to be bulletproof glass so I couldnt really shoot any photos with a flash. (please excuse the underexposed photos)  While Paul, Jennie, Ania, Gmo, and Kayla were running around Royal/T like kids in a candy store I cruised into the gift shop where , to my delight, they had just about every KAWS piece of furniture I have had a wet dream over at one point in my life. Yeah I know KAWS shit isn’t really that hard to come by, especially now a days, but I still love it. After I was done crying over the $10,000 KAWS wish list I decided to catch up with the rest of the crew as they lost their minds amongst all the Hello Kitty pieces.

 

As you can see from the photos there was just simply too much pink and white shit to get photos of everything. But we did have some time for G-MO to get some approving in.

After going to this exhibit Im still NOT a fan of that dumb cat but I gotta give it up to Sanrio for making every accessory in the world to help feed the obsession of every girl in America.
