XBOX DJ HERO RELEASE PARTY AND MORE
By Mykal • Oct 26th, 2009 • Category: BLOG, DESIGN, FEATURES, INTERVIEWS, MUSICLast Thursday we were invited to join our new friend John P. and some DJ friends for the XBOX DJ HERO release party in downtown L.A. and even though this game has smashed all dreams of us becoming big “DJS” we still can not get enough of it.
Have you ever been to a party / event where you immediately felt like it was too good to be true? Needless to say but XBOX knows how to party right. For the DJ HERO launch party, they rented out an amazing 2 story Penthouse loft in the middle of downtown LA and provided music, amazing food, drinks, and there were plenty of stations where you could try out the game all night if you wanted to.

The Release party had the usual LA groupie freebies (the ones who can justify NOT tipping at an open bar because they spent all their money on their fake rack and laboutins), a bunch of friendly faces who I haven’t seen in a very long time. And it had some local celebs.

Even some of our LA based DJ friends showed up.

(Sometimes all you need is two people to officially have a “rager” .. go get em THEM JEANS!)
Dan Oh decided to try the game out for a little bit and instead of raging it up like his tall friend… he went for the loverboy look.

Look for a very special DJ HERO set at Cinespace this Tuesday… Word on the street is.. Them Jeans is bringing Tila out.
After we were done being DJ fanboys we decided to cruise the party for some photos and see how many times we could fall in love from all the babes in there.

After we were done enjoying the amazing hospitality from XBOX. We gathered up Dan Oh and Them Jeans and headed out to meet up with THE SOUNDS for their after party at La Cita so we could give them their very own copy of the game.

Real DJ HERO’s love video games.
On a side note.. check out the hipster on the BMX bumming out all the Hollywood honies waiting for their car from valet… Next time XBOX invites me out to a party Im rolling up in the Starlet and my Tuxedo T-shirt I gotta step my game up.

Once we picked up the Accordian from valet we were off to LA Cita to meet up with MFG / Adam/ and The Sounds to end the rest of our night.
We are always blown away with the random people our friend Adam Frankel knows and it turns out he hangs with the Sounds everytime they are in town. He let them know that we had a DJ HERO game ready for them and they came out an pretty much did any pose we wanted them to do. Even though Maja wasn’t there, the rest of the dudes made me become an even bigger fan because they were so awesome. Adam youre a creep and we love you.

After we were done being stoked out for the night from hanging out with the dudes from The Sounds, we were gonna go into La Cita and dance the night away but it was getting really late and the door dude wasn’t letting us in;. so we decided to cruise downtown LA, shoot some photos, and go home and nerd out over the game.

(Now that I have re read this before Ive officially published it I think this post just became an excuse to put up photos and drop names like I was that cool… maybe one day.)
Anyways back to the game.
Once we got home, we nerded out over the DJ HERO video game for a good 4 hours and Paul, Ania and I didnt end up calling it a night until 6am. The game is THAT addicting. So hurry up and get a copy before they sell out.
FUTURECOP!- TONITES HERO (via redthreat)
Major major major thanks to John , XBOX, Them Jeans, Dan Oh, Adam Frankel, and MFG for the night.. it was one of those nights we wont ever forget.
