You know the saying: “Don’t ever meet your heroes ..they will always end up letting you down.” Well Calvin Harris IS one of our heroes and he turned out to be one of the funniest, nicest dudes we have ever met.

As soon as I got the greenlight to interview Calvin, I made a phone call over to Quang Le to see if he had enough time in his busy schedule to film. To my surprise, Quang jumped at the idea and was really excited to interview the guy who “gets all the girls.”

Quang and I grabbed his 5D along with Pretty Boy Paul’s light and headed up to Hollywood as soon as we could. Once we got there we were greeted with some major disorganization, but lucky for us Calvin’s manager, Mark, made sure we were taken care of… I could go on an on about the night and the dichotomy between how nice and hospitable Calvin Harris and his people were and how disorganized and unfriendly the people at the Vanguard were, but I’ll digress and move into the interview.

I got a chance to sit down with Calvin for 15 minutes or so before he absolutely tore the roof off the Vanguard… It turns out Calvin was one of those dudes who you can pretty much chat with about anything, as long as you enjoy a good dry sense of humor.

It was seriously a pleasure meeting Calvin and Mark, and Mark (”said band member”) I can’t wait for them to come back to the states so we can chat with them again.
