What can I say about Sonny that hasn’t already been said? SONNY gets more ladies then Jay-Z has Mercedes and that is a gross understatement. The dudes is the modern age GOLDEN CHILD when it comes to addressing the 18 and over teenage market. I really can’t understand it but I think a 28 year old guy who still lives with his dad never really will. Ok, enough about Sonny and the pre-teen obsession, I could sit behind my laptop coming up with metaphors describing his premature prowess all day, and even though he’s the Proverbial Pied-Piper of Poontang, this post is going to be about his MUSIC and nothing Moore.
Recently we had a chance to sit down with Sonny and discuss his latest musical projects during an interview we did for SKULLCANDY.tv.
Although this was before he officially launched SKRILLEX the video gives you and understanding of how long SONNY has been making electronic music.
SONNY’S latest track under the SKRILLEX name is a remix of one of his own tracks but this one has much more cuts and carries a crazy beat. Check it out:

I think people need to understand that Sonny is more of a solo project with singing while Skrillex is him DJ-ing with little or no singing…Other than that I wish him the best. Keep it up man.

Sonny’s my hero, and he has been for years now. I think everything he does in music is amazing and really just mindblowing. He certainly knows what he’s doing and how to reach out to people, how to make his music hit peoples hearts.
He’s really managed to get fans all around the world, I know that because I live in Sweden myself. He’s worth looking up to!
Wow! I still think Sonny is very under rated. Anymore, when I ask my friends if they have heard his most reasent music, they get really pissed off and tell me that they won’t because he ruined FFTL. Whoa. I mean, yeah, I think FFTL sucks now, but it doesn’t mean I won’t listen to either of them.

Sonny is a very brilliant, talented man. I look up to him in so many ways. He’s a musical genius, and he’s so much more intimate than a lot of other musical artists because he’s following his dreams, doing what he loves to do, regardless of the opinions of others. I just wish I were older and lived in California so I could experience his dj sets personally…. two years, sonny, wait up for me D:

What I love about Sonny, is that he always looks like he loves what he’s doing. He never does things half-hearted, and that’s something I really admire. I love his new work, and I’m sure he inspires so many young people out there. Including me. It’s been an emotional roller coaster watching Sonny grow and expand, but an amazing one. Everything from FFTL, to his voice messing up and getting surgery, and the break up of FFTL, then the period where he wasn’t really doing anything yet, to this, his solo project. Well, it’s more of a lifestyle now than a ‘project’. And the sound from FFTL to this, is comparable, but both are fucking powerful. The more he grows, the better he gets. You can tell he’s a gem, someone I’ll definitely follow for years to come. I’m proud of him. Next step: meet him, haha.

Sonny brings people together with his music
He is immensely talented, plus he has a golden heart. Probably the person that inspire me the most and that I look the most up to.
Always make me kinna sad when I hear people saying shit about him, cause he really doesn’t deserve that, he’s bold and brave for doing what he’s doing, not listening to what shit some people might say about him and having left his former band at such a young age.

there are really no words to explain how incredible sonny is. i have been a fan of his music since he first joined fftl, he was amazing then and is even more so now…everytime i hear his singing i am in awe and his skrillex music is fucking amazing. on top of all his talents, he is a truly down to earth and energetic person. his concerts are amazing and leave you in a good mood when you leave, he always takes the time to hang out afterwards…which is fucking awesome. i just hope one day i will get to see his djing at a club.
