When you hear the name BILLY OCEAN im sure your mind immediately starts playing the infamous CARRIBBEAN QUEEN on repeat and eventhough that song rules beyond description. The Brioni Suit wearing song bird named Billy Ocean also released a song back in 1980 that never really got the respect it deserved…until today

Billy Ocean is one of those artists that you can spend all day researching and still not have a clue on how you are going to write about his whole life in one article. He is one of those artists that has worn so many hats that it’s almost impossible to sum his life up. So I am going to keep this post pertaining to my favorite Billy Ocean song that never really made it….. STAY THE NIGHT!

By the time BILLY OCEAN release the Stay the Night single in 1980, he had already had 5 songs in the U.K. top twenty pop charts. The 80’s were a VERY good year for Billy Ocean, he released a song that made it on the top 100 every single year from 1981 up until 1989 and he had two, yes two number one hits in that same time span. With that many hits, it’s only natural for a song to disappear. But today we are bringing it BACK! And just in time for Summer, its the perfect song to play for your lady after a long day together at the beach, at a bbq, or hopefully at one of our summer/ pool parties.
