Movie making has become much easier in the last 10 years and most recently, with the new technology that has came out movie making has exploded into the main stream. Obviously that means the pool of mediocrity has just gotten bigger but there are some people who stand out above the rest. Will Roegge is one of them.
Just like with every other form of art, videographers define themselves in certain genre and it is from there where they build their reputation and portfolio. In Will Roegge’s case, his genre is the automotive world and considering we are all huge gear-heads over here. We are all huge fans of his work.
His latest movie is a quick film showcasing Rhys Millen and his record breaking run at Pikes Peak.
No, Pike’s Peak isn’t name of some Scandinavian porno, it’s actually one of the most difficult races in the world. Pikes Peak hill climb is, a mountain road that climbs over 4,000 feet and is over 12miles long, which has no guard rails and a surface that goes from pavement to gravel, to dirt to pavement to dirt. The competitors then race up it as fast as they can in a car that has over 800 horsepower and then they see who does it the fastest. Yeah, its pretty nuts.
The legend of Pikes is known around the world and many international competitors come each year to try to beat the times set the year before. It’s one of the most demanding races in the world and if looked at in the right light, its also one of the most artistic forms of driving.
