ROLLERSKATIN’ WITH ROB ROY (photos)
By Mykal • Jul 1st, 2009 • Category: BLOG, PARTY, PHOTOSLast Saturday was the second edition of the Rollerskatin parties at Detroit, and while all the young kids were losing their minds at EDC all the grown ups headed out to Detroit to get funky with ROB ROY, Y.O.O.K.S., COLOSSAL KNXN, AND NICKY SAVAGE.
If you STILL haven’t heard who ROB ROY is … its time you put your ear to the ground and got exposed to some REALLY GOOD hip hop/ rap. The hip hop game is changing, and the fall of VIBE magazine is proof that people are tired of the same old boring stuff. Thankfully, ROB ROY is one of the few acts in L.A. that are still pushing the hip hop / rap scene and thanks to him it’s still alive.
When I showed up to detroit on Saturday I noticed that our friend SEAN “ROSEY” ROSENTHAL was shooting photos with a universal light rig, which mean any photo that was shot with a flash would have even lighting all throughout the club, and since I suck at taking real film photos at night, I decided to bust out the old PENTAX and shoot photos that night.
