Considering this party was the entire reason why we came up to vegas, I wanted to make sure I got some good coverage of the party. Unfortunately, I didn’t end up getting to the damn party until 1145 because I had to wait on two people before I left. Yeah I know I could have always left them but I just felt bad. Anyways, on to the party …
When we heard about this party, we knew it was going to be a very rare opportunity to see TREASURE FINGERS / HERCULES & LOVE AFFAIR / BANG GANG DJS all in a very intimate / smaller venue so we had to come out. The party had a vibe that was very unique to Las Vegas, it totally felt like I was in some new cool dive spot in LA that hadn’t been discovered by all the young rave kids, similar to a night at La Cita for Dance Right Thursdays. I dont know if it was the unlimited amounts of PBR or the fact that all these cats were in town for the tradeshows but the usual Affliction/ True Religion wearing crowd was no where to be found.
The party was a celebration of the first night of the POOL Tradeshow in Las Vegas and it was hosted by Filter Magazine / Modular Records and our new favorite friend MFG and they were even gracious enough to provide a lucky few with some dope gift bags.. Since I was stuck on the LAGGER train we didn’t get any of them but we did have a great time taking some fun photos and talking to some very interesting people.
Since this wasn’t one of those parties where large amounts of kids loose their mind to extremely bass heavy music, Im not going to do the usual vertical line of insults on the photos… Yeah I know Im letting some of you down… but hey I can try something new sometimes!
